Bearwood Entertainment Distribution

The Bearwood Entertainment Distribution – or The BED as it is better known – is a Birmingham-based company who run a monthly concert in the Bearwood area. Their scene is mostly indie, rock and metal; their target audiences mainly teens and students. As a new company, they approached Ormo Media in March 2011 to create promotional materials to establish their brand and promote their opening night in June, as well as produce a functional marketing web presence.

As can be seen from their logo and the materials below, the style we have created for them is a modern, yet somewhat grunge-themed look. It fits well with their indie/rock genre and helps to give their posters, flyers and website an eye-catching visual appeal.

RockTheBED.co.uk

The BED’s website – RockTheBED.co.uk – was created primarily to convey the same urban style of the promotional materials (see below) and provide interested parties with the key information they needed to attend The BED. By combining web design, web development and hosting services into one package, we were able to offer The BED an extremely competitive price.

The staff at The BED are extremely happy with their website and have received positive feedback about it from their customers.

Promotional Poster

The poster – designed for production in A4 – had to convey a lot of information about the concert whilst remaining engaging for the audience. The bold, constrasting colour choices coupled with the easily identifiable themes and connotations allowed us to achieve exactly this. These posters were distributed to colleges, universities, clubs, other venues and a variety of other public places in and around Birmingham.

Advertisment Flyer

The flyers had a significantly different purpose to achieve – these had to carry even more information than the posters. As they were developed in collaboration with The BED they became more of a pocket guide to being part of the opening night. This has since proved to be a successful format.

These fliers were handed out around busy public locations by a small team, clad in ‘The BED’-branded shirts for maximum exposure. Because we were able to get these adverts directly to their target audience, we were able to make sure they were as effective as possible.
